Dublin City Schools (DCS) is the 9th largest district in the State of Ohio. The district enrolls more than 16,000 students and employs more than 2,500 staff members annually. The boundaries of the district encompass 47 square miles and include parts of Dublin, Columbus, Hilliard, and Upper Arlington. The district, which is also one of the fastest-growing districts in the region and is projected to grow by 270 students annually through 2032, crosses three Ohio counties. Franklin, Delaware, and Union. In fact, more than 40% of DCS’ students reside outside of the City of Dublin.

Hilliard is a suburban residential community located northwest of Columbus, Ohio. It was organized in the late 1800s and encompassed approximately 60 square miles. The district includes portions of the City of Columbus, the City of Dublin, and five surrounding townships. The community is one of the fastest-growing in the state of Ohio with over 87,000 residents. The district celebrates diversity through its current rapid growth. Area: About 60 square miles in northwest Franklin County, including all of Norwich and Brown townships; part of Washington, Franklin, and Prairie townships; the City of Hilliard; part of the cities of Dublin and Columbus; and less than one square mile in Union County. All homeowners are assessed at the same rate of school property tax regardless of where they live.

The three-step process provides families an opportunity to review and submit much of the required information in advance without having to complete multiple forms by hand - regardless of family size! Columbus City Schools, Dublin, Hilliard, Westerville, and Worthington City Schools have special programs for immigrants, such as offering summer schools for kids, adult schools, and these schools help new arrival students in school subjects, assisting them with homework, and providing extra hours. Additionally, some schools introduce immigrant children who need help in school subjects/homework to non-profit organizations, letting them help by introducing mentors to the specific family or children in school subjects/homework.

As (CRIS) Community Refugees & Immigration Services is one of the most reachable nonprofit organizations in Columbus city, which always has great contacts with schools in Columbus City Schools in general to help and support refugees or new arrival students.
